Holiday Party Photo Booth Ideas for Los Angeles Companies
Seven ways to get your whole team in the picture at this year's company holiday party, plus tips for planning a photo booth in LA.

The company holiday party is the one night a year when the whole team is in the same room, from the folks you see on video calls every day to the people in the office down the hall. A photo booth gives them a reason to mingle, something to laugh about together, and a keepsake to take home. Here are our favorite holiday party photo booth ideas for Los Angeles companies, plus a few planning tips so the night runs smoothly.
1. Build the booth around a theme
A theme ties the decor, the drinks and the photos together. At one recent company holiday party we worked, the theme was a ski lodge: après-ski cocktails, little ski icons on the menu, tinsel and mirror balls everywhere. When the photo booth matches the room, the pictures look like part of the party instead of an add-on.

A few themes that work well for LA holiday parties:
- Ski lodge or après-ski: cozy, wintry and a fun contrast to sunny Southern California.
- Winter wonderland: flocked trees, white and silver, and lots of sparkle.
- Hollywood glam: black tie, a red carpet and paparazzi-style photos. It fits right in here in LA.
- Ugly sweater: low-key, silly and great for teams that like a laugh.
- New Year's Eve: gold, glitter and countdown props, for a party that lands after the holidays.

2. Get the whole team on the TikTok Booth
We're the creator of THE ORIGINAL TikTok Booth, and it's a natural fit for a holiday party. Guests step inside an interactive booth with customizable backgrounds, dynamic lighting and instant video editing, then share their clips right away. It's a great way to get a group from different departments into one short, silly video. Learn more about our TikTok Booth rental.

3. Roll out a branded red carpet
A step & repeat press wall with your company logo turns every arrival into a red carpet moment. It's a simple way to put your brand into every photo, and those photos are ready-made for your internal newsletter, recruiting pages and company social accounts. Pair it with a photographer or a booth so everyone gets their arrival shot. See our Step & Repeat Red Carpet.

4. Turn your team into art with an AI Photo Booth
An AI photo booth transforms each guest into a custom piece of art. At one event, we Simpson-ized every guest, and everyone walked away with their own Simpsons-style image, complete with a 4x6 print and instant text sharing. For a holiday party, it's a conversation starter that people actually keep.

5. Send everyone somewhere snowy with a green screen
Our green screen photo booth is where it all started. Guests pick a digital scene, instantly view and edit their photos, and share them on social media right from the booth. For a holiday party, choose scenes that match your theme, so your team can pose on a snowy mountain or somewhere festive without leaving the ballroom.
6. Create a classic holiday set
Some parties call for a traditional holiday look. For the Toluca Lake Tree Lighting, our set featured red velvet drapes, flocked trees, giant candy canes and a white tufted settee for photos with Santa. A set like this is perfect for family-friendly employee events, where staff bring their kids for pictures.

7. Mix and match booths for bigger parties
For a larger company party, one station may not be enough. Pair a Photo & GIF Booth with a Glam Booth, add a TikTok Booth, or bring in a roaming camera so no moment is missed, from the dance floor to the dessert table. Every setup includes on-site printing and social media sharing. See all of our photo booth rentals.
Tips for planning a holiday party photo booth in Los Angeles
- Book early. The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's are the busiest stretch of the party calendar, so lock in your date as soon as your venue is set.
- Ask your venue about space and power. Find out where the booth can go and whether there's an outlet nearby. Spots near the bar or the entrance tend to get plenty of traffic.
- Think about outdoor setups. LA rooftops and patios are beautiful, but evenings get chilly and dark early in December. Let us know if your booth will be outside, so we can plan for lighting and placement.
- Send your branding early. If you want your logo on prints, overlays or a step & repeat, share your logo files and brand colors ahead of time.
- Plan around the program. Have the booth open during cocktails, and keep it running after speeches and awards, when people are ready to celebrate.
- Decide how photos will be shared. Guests can take home prints and get a digital copy on their phone, and your team can use the photos for internal recaps.
